# Get an email (/api-reference/public-api/getEmail)

`GET /v1/emails/{id}`

Base URL: `https://api.bitelio.com`

One email, **including the rendered HTML body**. That body is why this endpoint exists: the question you cannot answer from code is not "did it send", it is "what did it send".

Returns **404** for another project's email, not 403 — a 403 would confirm the id exists.

## Path parameters

- `id`: string (required)

## Responses

### `200` — OK

- `data`: object

```json
{
  "data": null
}
```

### `403` — The key lacks the emails:view scope

### `404` — No such email in this project

## Example request

```bash
curl -X GET 'https://api.bitelio.com/v1/emails/{id}' \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY'
```
